Yet the nice light rooms are empty, but very soon they will be filled with gorgeous whitework. A large exhibition – in addition to the permanent exhibition – is planned. Many talented hands have produced masterpieces of embroidery art – specifically Schwalm whitework. From the beginning of June through August 2014, visitors will be able to admire the many magnificent pieces of this old needle art that originated nearby.
Perhaps your summer schedule can include a trip to Eschwege, Germany; I think it would be worth your efforts!
Although Eschwege is “off the beaten path”, it is always worth the side trip and easily reached by train or car! Eschwege offers something for everyone. Very close to my museum is the popular tin figures museum (Zinnfigurenmuseum) ; many men find it very interesting. Eschwege also has a beautiful and prize-winning camping park at our Werra Valley Lake.
Here one can find many different activities: bike riding, sailing, boat tours, walking paths, playgrounds. Should you choose to spend some days in Eschwege, you will find lodgings to accommodate all tastes and needs.
I would love to welcome you to my hometown.
Please anticipate more information on this new and expanded exhibition!
It would be so good to travel to see the exhibition and the cherry on the top of the cake to meet you, dear Luzinne!!! 🙂 So good.
We still can dream, can’t we?
Hi Luzine
I love the idea of visiting your exhibition but we’re not sure if we can fit it into our trip. Can you give exact dates please?
Thanks
Hi Maureen,
I will open the exhibition from 03, June til 30, August. Regular opening is every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 – 15 o’clock. Upon special request I will open every other day to possible time.
I would love to see your beautiful work in person and give you a big hug!
xo,
Deb
Dear Luzine,
As usual you inspire me endlessly! Wish I could travel to Europe to visit your exhibition but I will have to settle for photographs.
Regards, Hannie
