One more angel is made to be cut out. This one is cocooned for the winter with long gloves and a bobble hat.

The design measures about 7 cm X 9.5 cm. It was stitched on Weddigen linen with a 13.5/cm thread count.

The wings are filled with Wing stitch (Early Schwalm Whitework) using coton à broder No. 16.

The bobble hat made hair unnecessary – only the face was outlined with Stem stitches.

The dress was embroidered with Honeycomb Darning stitches and bordered at the top with two single Satin stitch bars.

Boiled, starched, ironed, and cut out the winter angel decorates green branches as an ornament.

Later this ornament will also be hung on the Christmas tree in white.

It is still possible to get this easy and quick to stitch figure finished for this year´s Christmas! It’s fun to have a tree decorated with many handmade ornaments. The design is part of the large pattern collection Advent Calender 2018. Did you order it already?
